Test Kits
Bespoke test kits created for your needs
As part of the maintenance/management of a water system, an engineer/technician must check their reserves using a test kit to ensure the system has been dosed correctly and sufficiently. Using a test kit is a compulsory step in any water treatment regime, and failure to do so can result in catastrophic results, such as corrosion, microbiological fouling, or worst-case scenario, a system failure.
WTP manufacture a total range of test kits and reagents formulated specifically to enable the user to determine the correct dosage and management of the system chemistry. Our water test kits are designed to be used in a variety of environments, from chemists in a laboratory to engineers in the field. All our products are designed to be tested economically and safely.

Single parameter Test Kits
Our range of Single Parameter Test Kits includes both drop test kits and comparator test kits. These kits are designed to measure the concentration of specific chemicals in the system being treated. By utilising chemical specific reagents, these test kits provide a good indication of the reserve level of the target chemical in the system.
Engineers Test Kits
WTP provide Engineer’s Test Kits tailored to the requirements of the system being maintained, whether it is a closed system, cooling tower or a steam boiler. These kits can also be customised to adhere to British Guidelines such as BG50. Additionally, we offer kits designed for specific purposes such as acid descaling, biocide screening, and Legionella testing.
Product specific Test Kits
In addition to our Single Parameter Test Kits, which measure the reserve levels of specific chemicals, we also offer Product Specific Test Kits. These kits are tailored to some of our most popular products, such as M27, C48i, and Sanosil, allowing for accurate and efficient testing to ensure you are maximising the benefits of our products.
Photometers
WTP proudly serves as the official UK distributor of the PrimeLab 2.0, the next generation of photometers! Renowned for its exceptional accuracy, the PrimeLab 2.0 operates across 18 different wavelengths (410nm – 940nm), delivering precise readings for up to 140 parameters. To complement this device, the LabCOM App, Software, and Cloud service are available, enabling seamless data storage and analysis. This feature allows you to generate detailed reports for your customers, work out dose rates and run statistics for your sites.
In addition, we supply the PoolLab 1.0 & PoolLab 2.0 photometers, specially tailored for the leisure market. These photometers seamlessly integrate with the LabCOM app for enhanced functionality.

Testing Strips & Meters
Test strips are a great tool for any water treatment engineer/technician. They offer a convenient, portable, versatile, cost-effective, and rapid testing solution for monitoring water quality in various water treatment applications. WTP supply a range of test strips from chlorine test strips to peracetic acid test strips.
Dipslides & Incubators
Dipslides play a vital role in water treatment by providing a simple yet effective method for monitoring microbial contamination. By regularly testing water samples with dipslides, you can ensure water safety and adhere to regulatory standards such as ACoP L8. This proactive approach is essential for preventing potential outbreaks of bacteria and pathogens.
At WTP, we offer a range of dipslides tailored to target specific bacteria of concern, including Pseudamonas and E.Coli. Additionally, we encourage you to explore our selection of incubators to enhance the reliability of your results.
By incorporating dipslides into your water treatment regimen and using our comprehensive range of products, you can effectively safeguard water quality and protect public health.

Testing for the reserve of a product within a system is essential to ensure the dosed product is at an effective and efficient level. Too little product and the product may not function correctly, too much and can be a waste or just add solids to a system.

A comparator test kit involves comparing the colour of a sample to a series of colour standards represented on a colour wheel to determine the concentration of the sample. On the other hand, a drop test kit typically involves adding reagents drop by drop until a colour change occurs, indicating the end point of the reaction and giving you an approximate concentration. It is important to note that these tests are subjective.
